PURPOSE:To always automatically enlarge and project a projected image in the prescribed direction on the image forming surface, by detecting the information related to the direction of the image provided with regard to a film, by a detecting means, and controlling an image rotating means. CONSTITUTION:Information 56 related to an image provided with regard to its film is detected by a detecting means 55. Subsequently, a control means 57 executes an operation, based on a detecting signal of the detecting means, outputs a driving signal to an image rotating means 28, and sets automatically a rotational angle of the image by the image rotating means 28. In such a way, on the image forming surface of a screen 21, etc. of an image projecting device, a projected image rotated in the prescribed direction around an optical axis is enlarged and projected automatically.
