This device is placed at the end of the topmost-but-one slat 1 of the shutter. The said lock bolt upper slat 1 is fitted at each of its ends with two symmetrical locks 6, which comprise, on the inside, a lock bolt 12 associated with a spring 13, interacting with a rod 20 passed through by a strap 11 for joining the shutter to the support roller of the shutter. When the shutter is open, the tensioned strap 11 holds the lock bolt 12 retracted in the lock, by the action of the fork 26 on the spring 13. When the shutter is closed, the tension in the belt 11 is released, which allows the lock bolt 12 to be freed under the action of the spring 13. The end part 19 of the freed lock bolt 12 then engages in a keeper placed at the top of the shutter, and made in the side wall of the slat guide. <IMAGE>
