This relates to a power socket which includes, in a housing 21 between a rear plate 22 on which the contact cavities 23 emerge and a front plate 16 which includes two passage openings 17, a retractable closure member 20 mounted so as to move between a deployed stand-by position, for which it prevents access to the contact cavities 23, and an eclipsed in-service position for which it frees this access. According to the invention, the retractable closure member 20 forms an elastically deformable part and, in the deployed stand-by position, each of its arms 27 has a tab 28 which is, at least in part, engaged in the corresponding passage opening 17 of the front plate 16.
