PURPOSE:To dispense with the impregnation of resin between the layers of a wound body and to obtain excellent magnetic characteristics by a method wherein resin is coated only on the surface of a wound body after a beat treatment has been conducted. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous magnetic metal thin plate is wound in the prescribed shape, the end part of winding is fixed with a heat-resisting tape and the like, for example, and a heat treatment is performed on the wound body at the crystallization temperature of an amorphous metal or below. Resin is coated on the surface only of said heat-treated wound body using a fluidization dipping method for example. Then, a resin layer is formed thereon by performing a dipping method and the like as occasion demands. Also, when the metal magnetic core is used as a cut core, the above-mentioned material is cut at the prescribed position after a resin layer has been formed, the cut surface is polished, and the manufacture of the wound core is completed. As the wound core is fixed by performing resin coating on the surface only of the heat-treated wound core, the infiltration of resin between the layers of the wound core body is unnecessitated, and the deterioration in magnetic characteristics can be prevented.
