The subject of the invention is granular foods filled with an edible acid liquid in order to obtain what may be called "chewable seasonings", "chewable fruit juices", etc., having the taste and the quality of liquid products but without the usual chewable character. According to the invention, membranes are formed by reaction of an aqueous solution of an arginic acid salt with an aqueous solution of calcium around drops of liquid intended to form a core, so as to obtain granules, and then the liquid forming the core of these granules is expelled in order to be replaced by an edible acid liquid, the said granules being allowed to soak in water and then in the said edible acid liquid. |
