PURPOSE:To suppress deterioration of grease by filling an enclosed space for encapsulating grease for lubricating a coupling body with nitrogen gas, thereby preventing breakdown of a flexible boot due to deformation of the enclosed space caused through droppage of inner pressure. CONSTITUTION:An enclosed space 7 for encapsulating grease for lubricating a coupling body 5 is filled with nitrogen gas. Consequently, even if a universal joint repeats operation/stoppage and the temperature of the coupling rises/lowers repeatedly, nitrogen gas scarcely escapes from the enclosed space 7 through a flexible boot 6 to the outside as shown by an arrow (a). Furthermore, since nitrogen gas is scarcely absorbed by the material of boot 6, remarkable pressure drop does not occur in the enclosed space 7 nor the bellows section collapses radially inward as shown by a dashed line 6a', thereby damage of the flexible boot 6 due to collapse can be prevented. Furthermore, deterioration of grease due to nitrogen is suppressed.
