PURPOSE:To facilitate the expansion and reduction of a decentralized control system by adopting a constitution so that an address value and a constant defined by a system are registered and erased by a request from various other terminal equipments. CONSTITUTION:Controllers 6, 8 reply the state information of terminal equipments 5, 7 in response to the command of a system controller 3. Since the reply is accompanied with the address of the controllers 6, 8, a processing is executed so that its terminal equipment is registered or not as an effective terminal equipment based on an address-terminal equipment conversion list registered in advance in the controller 3. The controller 3 transmits an equipment state read notice periodically and when the terminal equipment 9 is connected newly, the controller 10 replies the state of the terminal equipment 9 to the controller 3. When the status information is normal, the terminal is registered as the effective terminal equipment, and the address-terminal equipment conversion list registered and defined in the controller 3 is displayed on a display device by the input from an input equipment 4, and the address value of the terminal equipment defined in each terminal equipment is varied by operating the equipment 4 to revise the address.
