PURPOSE:To always keep the rotating speed of a disk type storing medium constant and to prevent the disturbance of a read signal caused by the effect of the variation of the rotation of a motor and the occurrence of abnormal sounds by absorbing the accelerating and decelerating components of the motor which is the cause of the variation of the rotation of the disk type storing medium by a compressing spring. CONSTITUTION:The rotation driving device of the disk type storage device provides a driving part 5 having a driving part 6 combined in a T-shape in a head part and directly connected to the rotary axis of the motor and an axis to be driven 7 directly connected to a spindle and having a part to be driven 8 which engages with the driving part 6 in the head part. The part to be driven 8 provides four movable pieces 9, 10, 14 and 15 which are equipped to be flexible to contact in both sides corresponding to both head parts of the driving part 6, two linking members 18 and 19 linking two movable pieces 9, 10 or 14, 15 among four movable pieces, which are on the same side concerning the driving part 6 and two sets of compressing springs 12 and 16, now one set is made of two springs, which presses the two linked movable piece in an opposite direction each other and gives a rotating force to them in terms of rocking setting the axis to be driven 5 as the center of rotation. Thus, the disturbance of the read signal caused by the variation of the rotation of the disk type storing medium and the occurrence of the abnormal noises can be prevented.
