PURPOSE:To shorten the time for coating a mold coating material and to prevent splashing thereof by supplying the mold coating material to a gap formed of a casting mold and a cover the edge of which is in contact with the casting mold through the aperture in the upper part of the cover from a container above the cover, then rolling over the entire part. CONSTITUTION:The edge of the cover 1 is imposed on the surface of the casting mold 5 in contact therewith to cover the surface of the mold 5 with the cover 1 and to form the gap 4 between the cover and the mold 5. The circular aperture 2 is provided to approximately the central part of the cover 1 and the transient storage container 3 for the mold coating material is connected thereto via a pinch valve, etc. The mold coating material supplying device provided with the cover 1 and the vessel 3 is installed on the mold 5 in such a manner and the mold coating material is supplied and packed into the gap 4 through the aperture 2 from the container 3, by which the mold coating material is coated on the surface of the mold 5. The mold 5 and the mold coating material supplying device are then rolled over by rotating a rolling over device, for example, a rotary shaft 10, 180 deg. to discharge the mold coating material remaining in the gap 4 to the outside through the container 3.
