PURPOSE:To monitor a data by selecting a line number, a direction, and a time other than on-going monitoring functions, by adding the line number, a bit of directional information, and a bit of time information on a decoded mes sage. CONSTITUTION:Message monitoring parts 21-24 not only decode the data monitored via interfaces 11-14 similarly with a protocol corresponding to a line as the messages, but add the line number that represents to which direc tion the data flows to the message, the bit of directional information (directional information of a signal corresponding to the line number) that represents the direction of the message, and the bit of time information received from a time information supplying part 25. A write control part 26 stores those information in a message storage part 27, and a processor 28 classifies(sorts) the information at every signal with a time(monitoring time), and displays them on a display device 29. In such a way, it is possible to perform the monitoring of the proto col, and to recognize the relation of the time and the order of the data.
