PURPOSE:To obviate breakdown of microcapsules contg. a photosensitive compsn. at the time of heat development and to prevent generation of image contamination by heating a photosensitive material without contact with the photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material S with the photosensitive surface faced upward in a heat developing chamber 5 is placed on an endless belt 3 from a belt supporting roller 2a side and enters the chamber 5 where the material is heated by the radiation heat of an IR panel heater 1. The rear surface of the heater 1 is covered by a heatproof plate 4 to improve heat economy. The endless belt 3 to support the material S is supported by the belt supporting rollers 2a, 2b and is thereby carried. The belt 3 contacts the rear face of the material S. Said belt 3 is heated from the rear face thereof by an IR heater with a reflection plate 7 in order to accelerate the heating so that the photosensitive material can be heated without contact therewith. Generation of the capsule breakdown at the time when the photosensitive material film softens in the initial period of the heat development is thereby obviated and, therefore, the generation of the image contamination is prevented. |
