METHOD FOR PROCESSING PHOTOSENSITIVE PLANOGRAPHIC PRINTING PLATE

PURPOSE:To easily obtain a PS plate (photosensitive planographic printing plate) which is free from contamination at the time of development by providing a processing stage entailing a rubbing operation after a developing stage. CONSTITUTION:A developing soln. tank 11a and a guide roller 12 are provided behind an inclined plate 8 (viewed from the carrying direction) so that the PS plate 2 past a developing soln. pool 9 and past the rear end of the inclined plate 8 is immersed in the developing soln. in the developing soln. tank 11. The PS plate 2 emitted from the developing soln. tank is squeezed by squeezing rollers 13 and enters a post processing stage where a post processing liquid is supplied by a spray pipe 16 onto the surface of the PS plate after squeezing. The surface of the PS plate is then rubbed by a brush roller 14 and further, the post processing liquid is supplied from the pipe 16. The PS plate is transferred to the next stage after squeezing. The plate which is free from contamination is thus always stably formed with the simple operation for the developing process and with a small amt. of the developing soln.
