PURPOSE:To obtain image information at low cost by providing a voice identification means identifying voice information and converting it into a digital code for an image information output means in an image information transmission system provided with an image information storage means, the image information output means and a facsimile transmission means. CONSTITUTION:A subscriber who is going to obtain image information calls a transmission center, and transmits prescribed voice signals instructing image information. The voice signals are converted into digital signals in a voice confirmation device 3. If the voice signals are the combination of PB signals, they are converted into the digital codes and inputted to a computer 5 through an interface device 4. If the voice signals are the combination of the digit sound of a click sound or a man's voice, the voice confirmation device 3 compares them with an incorporated voice pattern, converts them into the digital codes, and inputs them to the computer 5 through the interface device 4. Image information outputted from the computer 5 are transmitted to the facsimile receiver 11 of the subscriber by a telephone line or facsimile private line.
