PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of surging by lowering the engine output for a predetermined time after acceleration. CONSTITUTION:A signal from a throttle opening sensor 8 etc. is inputted in a controller 9, and when the changing rate of the throttle opening exceeds a fixed value, it is judged that an acceleration condition is present. Then, a predetermined amount of fuel injected from an injector 6 is decreased for a fixed time, or the ignition timing is delayed. Generation of surging is prevented by lowering the engine output in this way.
