IMAGE CHARACTERISTIC EXTRACTION ARITHMETIC OPERATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To scale down and to simplify an operation circuit by unifiedly executing image characteristic extracting arithmetic operation with the aid of the arithmetic operation of weighted sum of product. CONSTITUTION:An A/D conversion part 31 converts an inputted image to a digital signal and outputs the result to one of the image memories 1-N in an image memory 32. Each image memory is connected with leastwise three video buses and a system bus mainly used for the control of action. An arithmetic processing part 33 which executes image processing arithmetic operation specifies the optional three pieces among N pieces of the image memories, executes the arithmetic operation such as convolution arithmetic operation and writes the result in the image memories again. A threshold level processing part 35 binarizes the content of the image memory by using a threshold level. A communication control part 36 controls to transmit the arithmetic operation result to a computer and a display device and so on.
