PURPOSE:To enable an engine to smoothly shift to an air-fuel ratio feedback- control in a device for controlling the air-fuel ratio by manual adjustment during idle running by adding a value obtained through gradual reduction of the manually adjusted amount of air-fuel ratio in accordance with an increase of load to an air-fuel ratio feedback correction value. CONSTITUTION:A basic fuel arithmetic unit 11 of a control device a calculates a basic fuel quantity based on a detection signal from an intake air flow sensor 2, whereas a correction arithmetic unit 12 makes a correction based on detection signals from various sensors 4 such as water temperature sensors, in take air temperature sensors, etc. A fuel control signal is multiplied by a feedback correction factor obtain from a feedback control unit 14 based on a detect signal of an O2-sensor 6 through a switch 15 controlled by an idle running detector 3 during non-idle running. An adjustment operating unit 13 outputs an air-fuel ratio correction factor under an idle running condition through a manual controller 5 controlled by a variable resistor, etc., and output an air-fuel ratio correction factor gradually reduce in accordance with an increase of load based on the detection value sensored by an intake air flow sensor 2.
