PURPOSE:To protect projection bodies from the rear plate of an oscilloscope by providing leg parts which projects longer than the projection bodies from the rear plate to the rear plate, fitting a rear protection cover which serves as legs to the leg parts detachably, and enabling operation while the oscilloscope is stood with the rear plate set downward. CONSTITUTION:A cooling fan 11 and a CRT 12 are the projection bodies projecting from the rear plate 10 of the oscilloscope main body A. The leg parts 13, on the other hand, are fixed to the four corners of the rear plate 10 with screws, etc., and longer than the projection quantities of the projection bodies 11 and 12. Further, the leg parts 13 provided to the four corners of the rear plate 10 are fitted in hollow leg bodies 15 formed integrally at the four corners of the rear protection cover 14 which serve as the legs and fixed with screws 16, so that the protection cover 14 is detachable from the leg parts 13. When the protection cover 14 is not attached, operation is possible while the main body A is stood by utilizing the leg parts of the rear plate 10 and the leg parts 13 displays simple protector effect to prevent the projection bodies from contacting foreign matter, thereby protecting the projection bodies.
