The invention relates to a solenoid valve with an electromagnet which controls the shut-off member cooperating with the valve seat, with an electrical coil and with an armature which is arranged displaceably within the coil and which cooperates with a part of the valve housing having the valve seat and is connected to a pressure rod, the free end of which is designed as the shut-off member or cooperates with the shut-off member. In known valves of this type, the components influencing the armature stroke and the opening travel of the shut-off member are worked accurately to dimension, and they are measured, classified and paired exactly, in order to obtain the necessary high accuracy of fit. The object of the invention is to develop a valve of this type in such a way that it guarantees high operating reliability, whilst being more cost-effective to produce. Provision is made, for this purpose, for the armature 22 and/or the pressure rod 7 to have two parts 26, 27; 31, 33, of which the relative position in relation to one another is variably adjustable, so that the dimension of the armature 22 or of the pressure rod 7 can be adjusted variably in the direction of displacement during the assembly of the valve. <IMAGE>
