The lock (8) arrests foam rubber cleaning balls circulated through the cooling water of a tubular heat exchanger etc. It comprises a housing (11) with a strainer and plugs shutting off the feed and discharge pipes (6,9). Both pipes have portions (14,15) protruding inside the housing, against whose ends shutters (20,21) on a central shaft (18) are moved. Between the pipe ends extends a strainer plate (24) at right angles to the shaft in the housing. The plate has a cut-out (25), shut by a rotary slider (26) fitted on the shaft. |
