PURPOSE:To permit an extremely convenient mode setting operation by clearing only the desired function mode and holding the other function modes as they are when an operation key for the desired function mode and a clear key are simultaneously operated. CONSTITUTION:The respective places are respectively the function modes in the case of registering numbers to set the number of copies of, for example, an electronic copying machine. All the places are cleared and are returned to the initial state when only the clear key 7 is operated. Only the places corresponding to the operation keys 18, 19 of the respective places are reset to the initial state and the remaining places do not change when the keys 18, 19 for the respective places are operated together with the clear key 7. Resetting of the registered numbers from the initial state for only the desired places is, therefore, possible.
