PURPOSE:To achieve a better sensitivity, by measuring electric conductivity through a complex forming reaction support bonded to a transition metal ions after the separation of anions by an eluate containing aminodicarborate using an anion exchange resin column. CONSTITUTION:An eluate containing alkaline metal or a alkaline earth metal salt of aminodicarbonic acid is fed with a liquid feed pump from an eluate tank to inject a fixed amount of a sample with a sample liquid injector and then sent to a separation column filled with an anion exchange resin set in a thermostatic tank. Then, after being passed through a complex forming reaction support to which transition metal ions previously ion bonded, the mixture is introduced to an are electric conductivity detector and a detection signal is displayed on a recorder as chromatogram. This allows a lower value of the electric conductivity of the eluate itself as well as a highly sensitive measurement of anions in the sample.
