PURPOSE:To carry out soil under a condition that compressed air is kept in a compressed air chamber by a method in which a feed pipe is set through a compressed air chamber and the atmospheric pressure section, and an excavated soil carrier is provided in the feed pipe in a vertically operable manner. CONSTITUTION:The ground 6 is excavated in the chamber 2d of compressed air, and excavated soil is packed into a textile bag 2 and loaded on a soil carrier 7. The bag 21 is sent onto a vertically movable station 13 and sent out to the outside of a caisson 2 through a carry-out shaft 15. The feed pipe 9 is closed by a cabin 11 all the time to avoid the leak of compressed air in the chamber 2d to the outside through the pipe 9. The soil can thus be carried out to the outside of the chamber 2d without leak of compressed air in the chamber 2d.
