PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for using a fluid machine of a hydraulic pump, etc., by making a fluid pressure generated by the difference in relative rotating speed between first and second shafts act on frictional engaging elements and transmitting power by means of the frictional contact of said frictional engaging elements. CONSTITUTION:A number of friction disks 30 are provided integrally rotatably and axially displaceably in between the inner peripheral part of the hollow part 22a of an input shaft 22 and an output shaft 23. And, pistons 32 press the friction disks 30 in accordance with the liquid pressure in pressure chambers 32a. In this structure, gear pumps 36 are driven via small gears 41 at a rotating speed in accordance with the relative rotating speed difference between the input shaft 22 and the output shift 23 and the generated liquid pressure is fed to the pressure chambers 32a to drive the pistons 32 and press the friction disks 30.
