PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a teeth hitting sound by providing a projecting viscoelastic body on at least one of a pair of engaging gear faces. CONSTITUTION:A viscoelastic body 4 of rubber, plastics, etc. which is projected out of a gear face is provided on a gear 3 held by a rotary shaft 1. Thereby, even when a pair of gears which are not transmitting a driving force may be moved in a backlash due to variation in rotating, since a shock force is absorbed by the viscoelastic body 4, the occurrence of a teeth hitting sound can be suppressed.
