<p>PURPOSE:To place an air flow in a laminar state and to accurately measure intake air capacity by providing a buffer chamber on the downstream side of an air flow at the bottom part of a sensing passage. CONSTITUTION:The buffer chamber 31 which is recessed downstream is provided on the air flow downstream side of the sensing passage 21. Consequently, even if an air flow passing in a flowmeter 100 pulsates, the air flowing in the buffer chamber 31 functions as an air damper and the impulse of the air flow passing in the sensing passage 21 is smoothed or reduced. Consequently, the stable air which does not vary in speed much can be blown to a flow rate sensor 7 and a temperature compensating sensor 8. The flowmeter need not be manufac tured so long in the air flowing direction and the air flow which has small speed variation can be supplied to the sensor 7, thereby accurately detect intake air capacity.</p> |
