PURPOSE:To obtain an operation always accurate and stable with a reduction in the number of parts, by performing the detection of output conditions of a output pulse utilizing characteristic of a D-type FF circuit. CONSTITUTION:Since and cosine signals inputted at an input terminal 14 are inputted separately into a trigger terminal T of a D-type FF circuit 11 and a clear input terminal R of an opponent D-type FF circuit 11. A data input terminal D of the two D-type FF circuits 11 is connected to a power source to be always given an H level. An increment counting output or a decrement counting output is outputted at an output terminal 15 according to the rotational direction of a rotor, normal or reverse.
