A ski boot comprises an outer boot and an inner boot, the outer boot being formed by a front foot heel shell and an ankle cuff, and the ankle cuff being formed by a cuff front part and a cuff rear part, both of which are mounted pivotably about a transverse axis on the front foot heel shell, and an instep saddle plate being arranged in the instep region inside the front foot heel shell and this instep saddle plate being clampable against the instep region of the inner boot and thus of the foot by a clamping device mounted on the cuff rear part, and in particular by means of a cable pull guided from the clamping device to the instep saddle plate. In this case, it is proposed in particular for facilitating mounting that the instep saddle plate is suspended on the cuff front part above the front foot heel shell.
