In a methane suck-off pipe for gas boreholes in underground mining which are lined with a tubing consisting of socket pipes which have a spigot end designed as a smooth-pipe portion and, opposite this, a socket, in which is formed an abutment which fixes axially in the direction of the free socket end a rolling ring sealing off on the spigot end and in the socket, according to the invention the tension-resistant connection consists of a plurality of spring tongues projecting inwards in the direction of insertion and located on the socket and of radial stops which are located on the spigot end and cooperate with the spring tongues and which, when the spigot end is introduced into the socket, run over the spring tongues and are supported on the tips of the spring tongues, the rolling-ring abutment being set back axially in the direction of the spigot end in the socket behind the position of the radial stops of the spigot end when the radial stops are supported on the spring tongues.
