PURPOSE:To surely guide a metallic code strip to a sheet to be fixed by pressure and eliminate the need of manually pasting operation, by a method wherein the metallic code strip is guided by attracting its one side with a magnetic substance so as to fix the strip by pressure with a press roller, the end face of which stands close to a guide face. CONSTITUTION:After passing the topmost guide roller 10, a metallic code strip 5 is sent out by being attracted with a magnetic substance 12. When the tip of the strip passes through the position of a press roller 15, the strip stops due to its rigidity at a position 17 and, after stopping, fixed by pressure with the press roller 13. At this time, the strip is shifted to a position 18 under the state of being attracted to the magnetic substance 12 so as to paste the metallic code strip 5 by sending out the sheet to be fixed by pressure. Accordingly, even the tip of the metallic code strip 5 can surely be guided, resulting in eliminating the need of the controlling of a guide. Further, at the pasting on a tire molding drum, the manual pasting of the tip to the drum becomes unnecessary.
