PURPOSE:To obtain an injection-moldable epoxy resin composition whose curing proceeds not so much that a temperature in a range of its preheating in a cylinder but rapidly proceeds by heating in a mold, by mixing an epoxy resin with a specified curing agent and a specified cure accelerator. CONSTITUTION:The title composition comprising an epoxy resin (most desirably, a novolak epoxy resin of an epoxy equivalent of 100-300 and softening point of 60-110 deg.C), a salt as a curing agent comprising a phenol/novolak resin (prefer ably, one of a hydroxyl equivalent of 100-150 and a softening point of 60-110 deg.C), 1,8-diazabicyclo(5,4,0)undecene-7 (hereinafter referred to as DBU) and phenol novolak (preferably, a salt of a DBU content of 20-80wt.% and a softening point of 60-150 deg.C), and a urea derivative [e.g., 3-(p-methyl phenyl)-1,1-dimethylurea]. By incorporating said curing agent and said cure accelerator in an epoxy resin, the curing of the composition does not proceed so much at a temperature in a range of the preheating in a cylinder and can proceed rapidly by heating in a mold, thus enabling injection molding.
