PURPOSE:To remove discharge coming from a coil due to unusual high-tension for preventing burning of the coil by en bloc forming a pair of flanges made of synthetic resin on both sides of the body part to be wound in layers with the coil of a coil bobbin for making the peripheral parts of the flanges inwardly bendable so as to cover the coil by the flanges. CONSTITUTION:A coil bobbin consists of the body part 1, a pair of the upper and lower flanges 2, 2 formed en bloc on its both sides. Further, the flanges 2, 2 are provided with circular grooves 4, 4 for making them easy to be bent inwardly, moreover length from the circular grooves 4, 4 to the outermost edges of the flanges 2, 2 is so made as to make no gap when the peripheral parts 21, 21 are bent inwardly. Thereby, a pair of the flanges formed on both sides of the body part become insulators to cover a coil on the body part so as not to cause discharge from the coil to a metal chassis even when unusual high-tension such as thunder surge enters this coil thus causing no danger of coil burning.
