PURPOSE:To execute a write operation by once, by providing a means for holding simultaneously a CAR part and a CDR part, and writing simultaneously both of them, at the time of writing to the CAR part and the CDR part. CONSTITUTION:A CDR part/CDR part holding means CCR 101 stores the contents of a cell, which are read out of an MM 11. In the CDR part of the CCR 101, the head address of the next cell is held. To the CCR 101, a data is read from the MM 11 by length of the data. At the time of generating a new cell, a new atom is inserted into the head of a list, and an area is secured by the data length. A CRT 107 sends out length of the data and a size of the cell to the MM 11. The MM 11 writes the contents of a WDR 105 to an address shown by an MAR 104. In such a way, the contents of the CCR 101 are written to the MM 11.
