PURPOSE:To decrease the delay of a MODEM control signal by mounting group number and number showing plural terminal equipments to a control information area between terminal equipments in a frame sent from a low speed data multiplexing part and executing the communication. CONSTITUTION:A multiplexing device is composed of terminal interfaces 1-1-a-1-m-a, a low speed data multiplexing part 3a and a high speed data multiplexing part 5a. To the terminal interfaces 1-1-a-1-m-a, terminal equipments 7-1-a-7-m-a are connected. A control information region MC to mount the control information between respective terminal equipments in a frame on a low speed multiplexing data line 9a is composed of a region A showing the group number and MODEM control signals C1-C8. A group number A is successively increased from 00 of a first frame and goes to 07 at an eighth frame. The MODEM control signals C1-C8 respectively have the number showing the terminal interface and in the actual execution example, 64 terminal interfaces can be connected. At respective frames, 8 terminal interfaces can be displayed by the MODEM control signals C1-C8.
