PURPOSE:To easily and automatically cut a bevel by making the face to be cut movable in three dimensional direction and supporting pivotally a cutting torch rotatably on the vertical shaft movable in the vertical axial direction. CONSTITUTION:A torch 1 is inclined at a specific angle (inclination alpha) along the slope line direction of a cutting end face for a vertical shaft 2 with an axial fulcrum C as the center to set a bevel angle. The vertical shaft 2 is moved (movement amt. T) in the slope line of the cutting end face of the material to be worked by using X-Y coordinate system to set the beveling amt. and the vertical shaft 2 is lifted in a Z axial direction to set proper torch intervals as well. After completion of the arrangement or prior to the arrangement the moving line forming by offsetting by the moving amt. T in the slope line direction of the vertical shaft 2 for the cutting end face contour line of the material to be worked and the turning angle of the vertical shaft 2 for keeping the cutting torch 1 on the slope line are found by calculation expression. Finally the vertical shaft 2 is kept on the slope line by displacing at specific angle by adequately rotating it while moving based on the X, Y coordinate values composing the moving line to effect the bevel cutting.
