An aluminum chassis for road or railway vehicles is such that the transverse beams are continuous and are attached to the longitudinal beams by means of angle-pieces using threaded bolts and nuts or, in particular, parallelogram-shaped nuts. The transverse beams and, if desired, the longitudinal sections of the frame-which can also function as longitudinal beams-feature undercut channels in which the nuts engage. This type of construction offers various advantages that are realized in the assembly of the chassis and in repairing damaged vehicles. |
