PURPOSE:To surely obtain a measuring point regardless of the form of a peculiar line by changing the pitch to switch a normal weaving action to a retrying action in case a sensor head is usable to perform the copying measurement of the peculiar line in said weaving action. CONSTITUTION:A peculiar line is provided on a processing line and an optical sensor head 20 is attached at an arm tip part 10a. Then the copying measurement is carried out with operation of a control panel 60 and the head 20 repeats the weaving actions for detection of an intersecting point with the peculiar line. If a CPU of a copying measurement arithmetic part 40 decides during the copying measurement that the copying measurement of the peculiar line is impossible by a normal weaving action owing to the position or posture relation between the head 20 and a work, the weaving action is switched to a retrying action with change of the pitch and said intersecting point is supplied to the part 40 as a teaching point. Then the part 40 is driven so that an optical spot crosses the peculiar line. Thus it is possible to surely obtain a measuring point regardless of the form of the peculiar line. |
