PURPOSE:To quickly and accurately start a relevant job and to operate an automatic job starting system with no delay by reading the header label of a loaded medium and starting automatically the due job. CONSTITUTION:A starting job name register means 5 is started before a medium is loaded into an input/output device 9 and the heater label information and the starting job name are previously registered into a starting job name register area 6. When the medium is loaded into the device 9, this state is detected by a medium load detecting means 1. Then a header label reading means 2 reads the header label information and transfers it to a starting job deciding means 3. The means 3 gives a request of start to a job start request means 4 if the starting job name is already registered. Thus the means 4 starts a due job. In such a way, an automatic job starting system is operated with no delay nor errors caused when the job is started and the medium is loaded.
