PURPOSE:To obtain the titled yarn for ornamental use and fashionable cloth, having yarn diameter >=twice as long as the particle diameter of fluorescent agent and excellent fluorescent performance, producible in good spinnability, comprising a thermoplastic polymer containing a specific mount of the fluorescent agent having the specific particle diameter. CONSTITUTION:The aimed yarn comprising a thermoplastic polymer (e.g. polyamide, polyester, polyolefin, PVC, etc.) containing 5-30wt.% fluorescent agent (e.g. calcium sulfide-bismuth, etc.) having 5-30mum particle diameter and having yarn diameter >=twice as long as the particle diameter of the fluorescent agent.
