PURPOSE:To improve the temperature characteristics of a device, by arranging a theremosensitive resistance element on the same chip as a magnetoresistance element, and connecting this element as a part of a temperature sensing resistance. CONSTITUTION:Electric resistance elements 1-1-1-4 are connected to a bridge 2. A constant current is made to flow between one pair of diagomal vertexes 2-1 and 2-2 of the bridge 2, and an output is taken out from between the other pair of digonal vertexes 2-3 and 2-4. A thermosensitive resistance element 7 is formed on the same chip 6 on which magnetoresistance elements 1-1-1-4 are arranged, and the thermosensitive resistance element 7 is connected to the input terminal of a constant current circuit 9 and the ground side of the bridge circuit 2. As the thermosensitive resistance element 7 is formed on the same chip as the magnetoresistance elements 1-1-1-4, their temperature is equal. Consequently, when the temperature characteristics of the thermosensitive resistance element is negative as is the case with a diode element, it can give the bridge circuit a current variation corresponding with a temperature variation. Thereby an accurate temperature compensation is enabled by a small-sized element.
