PURPOSE:To normally drive an FDD even in a cold district by heating the FDD when the peripheral temperature of the FDD is lower than the prescribed one and starting the FDD when the peripheral temperature is higher than the prescribed one. CONSTITUTION:A titled device controls the floppy disk driving device (FDD)2, and it is provided with the temperature sensor 4 of a thermistor or the like detecting the peripheral temperature of the FDD, an A/D converter 5 converting a temperature signal by the resistance value or the like of the temperature sensor 4 into a digital signal, and a heater 6 for heating the FDD2. Thus, the FDD is controlled so that it is normally driven even in the cold district for heating the FDD when the peripheral temperature of the FDD is lower than the prescribed one in order to drive the FDD when the peripheral temperature is higher than the prescribed one.
