PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition extremely suitable for various packaging material fields, by blending a specific ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer with an olefinic resin in a fixed ratio. CONSTITUTION:(A) An ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer containing an RS group (R is 2-30C, more preferably 6-18C hydrocarbon; S is sulfur atom) or a mixture of the copolymer and an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer is blended with (B) an olefinic resin (e.g. polypropylene, etc.) in a weight ratio of A:B=95:5-5:95 to give a composition. The component A has 20-60mol.% ethylene content and preferably >=90% saponification degree.
