PURPOSE:To uniformize a toner thin layer on a developing roller by sticking a film member on both surfaces of the tip part of a layer control member which abuts on a toner carrier, and rounding the tip part. CONSTITUTION:The layer control member 12 which abuts on the developing roller is fitted rotatably to a casing 7 by supporting a control blade at the tip by a support plate 8 and providing a spring 11 to the base end part. A film (ethylene polytetrafluoride resin, etc.) 13 is stuck on the tip part of the control blade 6 from one surface to the other surface. Then toner 2 is supplied onto the periphery of the developing roller 4, the film 13 of the control blade 6 is brought into contact to control its layer thickness, and the toner is charged electrostatically by friction against the developing device 4. Further, the round part of the tip of the control blade prevents toner from staying. Thus, the film is stuck on the layer thickness control member, so the toner is prevented from staying and a uniform toner thin layer is formed. |
