PURPOSE:To produce press fixing toner having excellent press fixability and developability by melting and kneading a raw material contg. a pigment and a compd. having a hydrocarbon chain, then pulverizing the same in a molten state in a liquid medium. CONSTITUTION:A raw material contg. a compd. having a hydrocarbon chain and a pigment are melted and kneaded and thereafter the mixture is pulverized in a molten state in a liquid medium. The compd. having the hydrocarbon chain is C12-C50 hydrocarbon, fatty acid and its ester, metallic soap, fatty alcohol, etc. The resulted particles have a thoroughly spherical shape, and yields a toner having no ultrafine particles, particularly, fine single substance particles of the pigment particles. The toner having an excellent characteristic is thus obtd. |
