A hydraulic power transmission device (13) for reducing the rotational speed of the output from a source of power and changing the rotational speed at a given transmission ratio comprises an oil pump (27) with an input shaft (55) on which the power from the source of power can be exerted, the oil pump (27) being drivable by means of the power from the source of power; a pair of oil motors (29), each with an output shaft (95), each of which is assigned to one of two axles (21), the oil motors (29) being drivable by a hydraulic pressure produced by the oil pump (27); a pair of speed reduction mechanisms (31), which are arranged between the output shafts (95) of the oil motors (29) and each of which reduces the rotational speed of one of the two output shafts (95) and transmits the rotation of this output shaft (95) to one of the two axles (21); an inner housing (120) with a space enclosed therein in which the oil pump (27) and the oil motors (29) are accommodated; and a transmission case (33) in which a transmission chamber (45) is defined, the inner housing (120) and the speed reduction mechanisms (31) being accommodated in the transmission case (45) and oil being stored in the transmission case (45). <IMAGE>
