PURPOSE:To save the electric power for operation and to maintain the efficiency of the title precipitator for a long time by adjusting the output voltage of a power supply means to a sparking voltage at regular intervals for a specified time by a charge control means, and hammering a discharge electrode with a hammering device for a specified time. CONSTITUTION:The discharge electrode 31 and dust collecting electrode 32 are provided in a dust collecting chamber 30, the power supply means 20 for impressing a high voltage between both electrodes and the charge control means 10 for controlling the output voltage of the means 20 are further furnished, and the charge voltage to be impressed between both electrodes and the discharge current are controlled so that the dust concn. at the outlet of the precipitator is controlled in the vicinity of a planned value. The output voltage of the means 20 is adjusted to a sparking voltage at regular intervals for a specified time by the means 10. The discharge electrode 31 is further hammered for a specified time by the hammering controller 40 after the sparking voltage is outputted. As a result, the power for operation is saved, and the efficiency of the percipitator can be stably maintained over a long period. |
