PURPOSE:To enable filtration of a large amt. of filthy water utilizing siphon effect of a laminated body by separating a box body with a partition wall into a storing section of filthy water and a discharging section of filtered water, and hanging a laminated body of nonwoven fabric or filter paper in a manner that the laminated body is laid across the partition wall. CONSTITUTION:A storing section for filthy water 1 and a discharging section for filtered water 3 are formed by separating a box body with a partition wall 2. A laminated body 5 of nonwoven fabric or filter paper is hung on the partition wall 2 of a filtration apparatus 4 in such a manner that the laminated body is laid across the partition wall 2. When filthy water is fed from a discharging port 6 of the filthy water to the filthy water storing section 1, capillarity phenomenon is caused in the laminated body 5, so the laminated body is impregnated with the filthy water supplied to the filthy water storing section 1, and it causes the synergistic effect and the body 5 impregnates the large quantity filthy water. The laminated body 5 functions as filter medium and siphon, thus filtered water is discharged to the filtered water discharging section 3. As the result, filtration of a large amt. of filthy water has become possible.
