PURPOSE:To easily obtain color-inverted images by providing a means which switches the color of a first color printing and that of a second color printing mutually on the side of a main body. CONSTITUTION:Video signals of first and second colors outputted from a control circuit 8 as the controller pass an image buffer 7 and are selected by either of first and second color systems by a changeover switch 9 having two pairs of terminals, and laser beams emitted from lasers 2a and 2b by laser drives 6 irradiate a photosensitive drum 1 through a polygonal mirror 3 or the like. Printing images where colors are inverted mutually are obtained by the changeover switch 9. This switch 9 can be switched selectively on the program of the control circuit 8.
