PURPOSE:To adapt a light source device to a scope provided with a photographing means of the face sequential system, a scope provided with an image pickup means of the color mosaic system, and a fiber scope capable of observation with the naked eye by providing a white light output means which can output the white light. CONSTITUTION:A light source device 15 has a light source part 15a of the face sequential system and a white light source part 15b, and the light source part 15a of the face sequential system supplies the illuminating light to a light guide 14 of an electronic scope 2A of the face sequential system or a fiber scope with a television camera of the face sequential system which is connected to a connector receiver 11a for light source of the face sequential system. Meanwhile, the white light source part 15b supplies the illuminating light to the light guide 14 of an electronic scope 2B of the color mosaic system, a fiber scope with a television camera of the color mosaic system, or a fiber scope which is connected to a connector receiver 11b for white light source. Thus, the illuminating light corresponding to the connected scope is supplied when any of the scope 2A of the face sequential system, the scope 2B of the color mosaic system, and the fiber scope is connected.
