PURPOSE:To improve the initial electrification, the continuously repeated usage property, the withstand voltage property, the usage environmental property and the durability of the titled member by constituting the layer having a functional separation type by specific CTL and CGL. CONSTITUTION:The titled material has a photoreceptive layer 102 laminated the electric charge transfer layer (CTL) 103, the electric charge generating layer (CGL) 104 and a surface layer 105 in this order on a substrate 101, and the CGL 104 and CTL 103 contain a silicon atom as a host, and is composed of a non-monocrystalline material contg. any one of hydrogen atom and halogen atom. And, the CTL contains at least one kind of the atoms selected from carbon atom, nitrogen atom and oxygen atom, and has a part which contains an atom belonging to group V atoms of the periodic table as a substance capable of controlling a conductive property, in an inhomogeneous distribution state and the direction of the film thickness.
