摘要 PURPOSE:To enable the accurate measurement of light energy and light intensity by a construction wherein the light energy or the light intensity of a light to be measured is determined on the basis of the attenuation rate of a stimulated luminescence light emitted from accumulative fluorescent substance. CONSTITUTION:First a radiation source 22 is driven to accumulate the energy of radiations 23 in a cumulative fluorescent substance 13. Next, a light 21 to be measured is applied to the accumulative fluorescent substance 13 by a light source 20. Then an intense stimulated luminescence light 17 is emitted therefrom, and this light 17 is detected 14, amplified 33 and sent to a sampling circuit 31. In the circuit 31, sampling signals S81 and S82 are generated at the time points t1 and t2 of reception of first and second sampling signals S6 and S10 from a control circuit 30, respectively. Then, an arithmetic circuit 34 computes the attenuation rate P2/P1 of the light 17 on the basis of the signals S81 and S82. An attenuation rate information S12 showing this attenuation rate P2/P1 is sent to a collation circuit 35 and a value of light energy E corresponding to the attenuation rate P2/P1 shown by the information S12 is determined thereby. An information 13 showing this energy E is temporarily stored 36 and then read out of a memory 36 and the value of the energy E is displayed 37.
